So, at a very young age, she knew about the qualities of diligence, perseverance, and dedication.
In that same disadvantaged society, Mt. Nebo AME Church provided Andrea with her first chance to start public speaking. She states she still recalls her grandmom saying, “Speak LOUDLY … and clearly! I want to listen to you in the back of the church.” And with a bit of training and hard work, Andrea mastered speaking in front of an audience. It set her foundation and offered her tools she would use later in life.
Andrea commenced her broadcasting profession in her hometown at KATV Channel 7 News. There, she hosted a popular segment, “The Morning Juice,” covering a wide range of issues from the latest in recreation news to the controversy surrounding religious freedom laws in Indiana and Arkansas.
