Even before stepping behind the microphone at his hometown radio station at age 15 in Williamsburg, Kentucky, Bill had a taste of journalism as he and some class fellows printed a newspaper and sold it on the streets in grade school. While running track, playing basketball, and operating as high school class president, Bill also worked in radio and cable TV. He’s also moderated hundreds of political debates. After college, he worked as an Announcer/News Anchor at WEKC, for one year, from Aug 1983 – Aug 1984.
Along the way, Bill has been recognized by the Associated Press for anchoring and reporting and is a proud representative of the EKU Hall of Distinguished Alumni and the Williamsburg High School Hall of Fame. Also, he recently earned the statewide media award from the Daughters of the American Revolution.
