For more than 38 years, he has had experience as a producer, anchor, and broadcast journalist.
Scranton, Pennsylvania is his native home and he attended Marywood University in Scranton. While he was in college, he worked at WARM 590 AM in the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area where he served as an anchor/reporter. In addition, while he worked on the radio, on WBRE-TV in Wilkes-Barre, he served as the weekend weather personality.
After he graduated, he took up a full-time position with WBRE as an anchor and reporter until 1995. Furthermore, he won a number of Associated Press Awards for Spot News Coverage, Public Affairs, and Enterprise Reporting, while he worked at WBRE. Later on, he took up an anchoring and a managing editor position at KGAN-TV in Cedar Rapids, Iowa in November 1995. He won an award from the Iowa Motion Picture Association for traveling to the scene of a tragic shooting at Columbine High School in Colorado.
Furthermore, he is a board member of the Board of Directors for Tenfold Lancaster which was previously known as Tabor Community Services. Roche has also been a member of the board of the Ronald McDonald House in Hershey. During his leisure time, he enjoys home repair projects, biking, and golfing.
