She later went on to serve as a News Reporter/Weekend Anchor between 2011 and 2012.
While working with KAVU-TV, she was covering local and national events such as Hurricane Florence, NCAA March Madness, the Panthers’ Super Bowl run in 2016, the subsequent removal of the Confederate Flag from the South Carolina State House, the 2016 and 2020 elections, and Mother Emmanuel AME Church.
From there, she went on to join WPSD-TV in Paducah, Kentucky where she was serving as a Weekend News Anchor/Reporter between May 2012 and May 2015. Before joining the ABC13 team, she was serving as a News Anchor/Reporter at WXII-TV 12 Television Station from July 2015.

Previously, she was serving as the Vice-Chair of the Winston-Salem Urban League where she was an advisory board member for the chamber of commerce. Additionally, she also volunteers with The American Heart Association, the local food bank, and the Girl Scouts. She loves working with cultural arts centers. Additionally, she was also named as one of the top 40 leaders under 40 and among one of the top 40 influential African Americans in the Triad.
