Brooke has received the Society of Professional Journalists Bill Stout Award for breaking news reporting and the Colorado Association of Black Journalists Scribes in Excellence Award. During her spare time, she enjoys spending ample time with her husband, reading, playing tennis, cycling, biking, and yoga.
