Her passion peaked when she transferred to Daphne from Michigan immediately following Hurricane Katrina in 2005. In Gulf Coast, she saw all of the broadcast weather anchors in action and just knew that was what she wanted to do. After Hurricane Katrina, Caroline visited the WKRG studio, and from that instant, she knew it was her dream to be a meteorologist at WKRG News 5.
Caroline graduated from the University of South Alabama. While enrolling in South Alabama, she was named a NOAA Hollings Scholar and that gave her the opportunity to have an internship in Norman, OK at the National Severe Storms Laboratory. She also was mentored and taught by News 5 First Alert Storm Team Meteorologist John Nodar. Caroline published an undergraduate thesis on sea breezes with the purpose of aiding the forecasting of them.
Prior to joining WKRG News 5, she served as a broadcast meteorologist at WeatherVision in Ocean Spring, MS, where she broadcasted and forecasted for several stations around the United States. When not working, Caroline stays a major weather nerd. She loves chasing storms all over the country on radar and foretelling active weather locations. Caroline also enjoys visiting the beach or out on the boat with family and close friends and hanging out with her husband and dog, Biscuit. She is beyond thankful to live out her dream of being a meteorologist at WKRG News 5.
