From 2005 to 2012, together with her husband, they resided in Arkansas where she was a public school teacher who then worked in marketing for the USAF. She began her television news career in Abilene, Texas where she worked at KTXS from August 2012, and while she was there, she served as an anchor and reporter. While she worked at KTXS, she earned a Texas Associated Press Broadcasters’ Award for General Assignment reporting in addition to anchoring the market’s #1-rated morning news program.

Later on, she joined the WRBL team in Columbus, Georgia and while she was there, she served as the anchor and producer for the 5 pm newscast. Webb also worked for an online news organization in Washington, D.C, and a number of stories she wrote reached millions of readers during the 2016 presidential election. In addition, she also worked in Sacramento, California at KTXL-FOX 40 where she managed Special Projects. Cassandra won a Regional Edward R. Murrow Award for helping out a family desperate for their loved one’s remains to return home from world war 2.

While she was still working at KTXL, she earned an Associated Press Television and Radio Association Award for Best Public Service.
