While studying at Texas Southern University she concentrated on working behind the scenes and taking part in partnerships with TxDOT and NASA which allowed her to work in productions across the country. Edwards worked for Houston’s ABC affiliate as a video editor for almost six years after graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications.
At Klein ISD she spent four years running a TX21st after-school program. She decided to work on camera at KWTX-TV in Waco as a multi-media journalist. She later decided to work as a morning reporter at the station’s Bell County Bureau and reported stories in Temple, Copperas Cove, Killeen, and Fort Hood. Being away for a couple of decades, she is thrilled to be back working in her hometown, spending time with friends and family, and working to improve where they live and work.
