Christine first joined News 19 to serve as the station’s first female sports anchor and reporter. During that time, she had the honor of covering Alabama’s run to the 2012 BCS Championship and Auburn’s run to the 2011 BCS Championship. She also had the chance to build relationships with many local college and high school athletes and coaches.
After two years at News 19, Christine accepted a short sabbatical from the business, but she returned to North Alabama’s News Leader in April 2014. She served as a multimedia journalist until being promoted to anchor in 2016. Christine has reported a wide variety of events and problems impacting News 19 viewers from April 27, 2011, tornado outbreak to the award-winning suicide prevention special to the team name reveal for the Rocket City Trash Pandas.
Before making the move to Huntsville, Christine worked as a sports reporter and anchor for Greenspun Media Group in Las Vegas, Nevada. While there, she reported a variety of sports, including many Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao fights, as well as countless UFC events and UNLV basketball and football games.
Prior to her time in Las Vegas, Christine served as a sports anchor and reporter for KTKA in Topeka, Kansas. There, she had the chance to cover the University of Kansas and the Jayhawks’ run to the 2008 NCAA National Championship and the 2008 Orange Bowl.
While in College, Christine became the 1st female sports director at WOUB-TV, a PBS affiliate operating 55 counties in four states. She also had the chance to work as a sideline reporter for ESPNU.
