Aside from this, she has been privileged to interview the likes of President Donald Trump, former First Lad, Laura Bush, and Senator Barack Obama. This was during his first presidential campaign. He also takes pride in keeping the public informed with accurate information about what is going on in their community.
She states that being rooted in the community she lives in is so important. When she was in Charlotte, she led the station’s campaign for about seven years. This was while raising millions of dollars for children fighting pediatric cancer at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Prior to joining the WBTC team, she was working as an anchor and reporter for KLTV in Texas and WABG in Mississippi. Asides from this, she is a proud member of the National Association of Black Journalists and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
She is no stranger to the Peach State. Christine is a proud graduate of the University of Georgia where she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the Henry W. Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication.
Sperow was also a student-athlete playing on UGA’s women’s volleyball team. After her graduation, she lived in Atlanta for a few years before hopping around the country to start her journalism career. She is excited to be back in Atlanta where her parents and siblings reside.
