Additionally, she has also covered the environmental concerns at Piney Point and the unemployment crisis.
Prior to this, she was working for about two and a half years in Bismark North Dakota. There, she was working for the KFYR-TV team where she was serving as a crime, court, and investigative reporter. While there, she was able to win a regional award for an investigation of the illegal gun trade among other awards for her reporting on the voting rights of Native Americans.
This is in addition to earning an award for the coverage of the surge in drugs across North Dakota. While at the university, she won several investigative and sports news awards for her reporting in North Central Florida at the WUFT-TV.
Her desire to join the journalism industry began when she was young and has always been passionate about telling stories of people in her community and also holding the powerful accountable. Away from work, she is a true crime junkie. Additionally, she also enjoys listening to podcasts and watching cold case documentaries. In addition, she loves meeting new people and can also be found adventuring around town with her female golden retriever Charli. She also enjoys watching SEC football.
