Novarro later became the network’s Sunday Morning anchor and also New Jersey’s Bureau correspondent.
Novarro has reported on various spot-hitting events that included the terror cells operating in New York City and New Jersey, the first World Trade Center attack, the New Jersey State Police Department overhaul, the convicted mastermind of the bombing, and also, landing a rare interview with blind Sheikh Omar Abdul-Rahman. He later won his first Emmy award due to his report on the Brooklyn apartment tenants who had been held hostage by the drug dealers who turned their homes to crack houses.
Novarro later relocated to Chicago where he became the morning newscast’s anchor for WFLD-TV and later in 2007 became the 10 pm newscast anchor for the network. He also covered on various events during his stay in Chicago that included, profiles on the then Senator and his beautiful family at their lovely home and Barack Obama’s presidential campaign.
