She states that being given the opportunity to be part of a station in her hometown, she has been provided the advantage to hit the ground running. She is thankful that her friends and family members are now turning to incredible sources of information that have helped her beat the competition by reporting on exclusive and often lead stories. She also began sharing her experience and fighting against stage three breast cancer.
Prior to joining the FOX 5 News team, she was working for KTVI FOX 2 in the Greater St. Louis Area where she was serving the station as an Evening general-assignment reporter Reporter/Weekend Anchor. She served the station between January 2017 and July 2019.
She then went on to join KDNL ABC30 in the Greater St. Louis Area. There, she served the station as a News Reporter between November 2014 and January 2017. She has also worked with WBOC-TV Salisbury, Md. where she served between January 2012 and July 2014. There, she was serving the station as a Multi-Media Journalist/Weekend Morning Anchor.
Khan has also worked for CTV in Landover, MD. between September 2006 and January 2012. While there, she served the station as a Reporter and Fill-in anchor. This is in addition to working for Media General in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina Area. There, she served the station as an MMJ/Fill-in anchor at WBTW-13 between October 2008 and April 2011.
Khan has also served WJLA-TV in Rosslyn, Virginia as an Associate Producer/Production Assistant. She served the station between December 2005 and October 2008. She has also worked with WMAL RADIO The Chris Core Show in Bethesda, MD. There, she served the station as an Associate Producer/Production assistant between May 2004 and December 2006.
Ayesha Khan Cancer/”Cancer: Fight over Fear”
Khan was diagnosed with this disease in the month of July 2021. She has been chronicling her journey in the Fox 5 series, “Cancer: Fight over Fear” with hopes of providing helpful information to her community. Khan underwent a mastectomy in the month of October before she was introduced from chemotherapy to radiation. She states that radiation is a much kinder treatment compared to chemo.
She underwent radiation throughout the weekdays till the month of June 2022 when she finished her radiation treatment with a celebration. Khan states that she even got a certificate of completion signed by the staff at the hospital.
