In his junior year, he interned in Lancaster at WGAL NBC8 and in Philadelphia at KYW CBS3 with Kathy Orr. In addition to that, he rotated as a video editor, reporter, anchor, and forecaster for a weather show broadcast on a local community channel in Centre County, the county of Penn State.

Anderson is a meteorologist at FOX 29 in Philadelphia. His love and passion for weather started at a very young age. He began forecasting weather in the third grade on FOX29 when Good Day Philadelphia went on the road. Kathy Orr, a FOX29 meteorologist, helped to shape his career in 2008 when he interned at FOX 29. He was lucky to learn as an intern. Kathy was happy to see Anderson giving a forecast on ESPN’s College GameDay a year later.
Upon college graduation, he moved to Lancaster, PA to work for WGAL, the NBC and at WBRE, the NBC in Wilkes-Barre, PA. He spent a few years there. While forecasting on Weekend TODAY, he saw an incredible meteorologist, Scott Williams for the first time. After a period of time, he left WBRE to head to York, PA. While there, he did weekday morning weather for FOX43. He was much loved there by the bosses and he was given a chance to be the Jennaphr Frederick of FOX43. Anderson did live interviews while roller skating, climbing a rock wall, riding a bike, and much more over the years.
He carried FOX43’s new wireless live report technology to new heights, reporting live from a hot air balloon floating across Lancaster County, from cars, boats, planes, and moving trains. From there, he moved to Allentown, PA. While there, he did weekend morning and evening weather for WFMZ. His space and science reporting was much loved by the bosses which made them elevate him to a morning show science anchor.
Currently, he has taught over fifty courses in person and/or online that have focused on how’s and why’s of weather, communications, sustainability, geography, earth science, natural disasters, risk management, weather that changed history, and severe weather. He is currently teaching at West Chester University on earth science and meteorology. While at West Chester University, Anderson does research in sustainability and science communication. He likes inspiring the next generation of meteorologists just like his Weather Authority colleagues. While growing up, Sue Serio came to his middle school for a weather talk. He still recalls that day.
He likes serving the community through teaching when not om-air. During his leisure time, he likes traveling. Throughout his career, he has visited every Canadian province, every continent, and every state. To date, he feels privileged to lead science expeditions in Antarctica.
