Prior to joining WGAL, he covered deadly tornadoes, ice storms, and hurricanes while he worked at WAPT-TV in Jackson, Mississippi where he served as a weekday morning meteorologist for five years. Back in 2013, he was named by The Associated Press as the Best Weathercaster in the state. For a number of years, together with The 16 WAPT News team, the Associated Press has awarded them with the Best Newscast awards. In addition, for the continuous coverage of the deadly Yazoo City tornado in 2010, they earned an Edward R. Murrow award.
Furthermore, Ethan holds the National Weather Association Weathercaster Seal of Approval. Prior to joining WAPT-TV, he worked at WTOK-TV in Meridian, Mississippi, and WCPO-TV in Cincinnati. and at WYTV-TV in Yougstown, Ohio as a meteorologist. He enjoys college sports and loves watching both Mississippi State University Bulldogs and Ohio University Bobcats basketball and football. Ethan also roots for the Cavaliers, Browns, and the Cleveland Indians.
Sugar Grove, Ohio is his native home and during his spare time, he enjoys being outside, long-distance running and working out at Crossfit.
