Since then, he has covered a variety of critical issues, including the economic crisis facing Erie during the COVID-19 pandemic, the financial divide separating Erie from success, and a presidential election that circled Erie County.
Isaac was awarded by the Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters in 2020 for the top investigative reports in the state, “Tracking Your Tax Dollars.” The report emphasized how Erie County and the surrounding area were not provided with appropriate funding through several grant programs despite promises of fair distribution of funding from the state. The report also documented how a local Erie business proprietor was set to obtain thousands of taxpayer dollars in grant funding, despite falsely certifying she was qualified for the money.
While he isn’t reporting, Isaac likes to play tennis regularly and announces local sporting events as a play-by-play broadcaster. He bleeds the gold and black of the Pittsburgh Penguins, Steelers, and Pirates and you can occasionally find him singing in choirs or different shows.
