After one year, Jamal moved to Columbia, South Carolina where he served at WACH FOX News as a general assignment reporter and multimedia journalist before becoming the weekend fill-in anchor at Ten. After breaking several exclusive stories, he earned a reputation.
Moreover, he has covered numerous stories including the student of the University of South Carolina who was kidnapped, killed, and left in a rural area. The police say that she got in a car she thought was her Uber mistakenly. The changes were made in law and within the rideshare service industry after her death. Goss also covered the death of Samantha Josephson as well as the tragic shooting on the University of North Carolina-Charlotte campus. When the gunman opened fire, two students lost their lives.
