During this period, he anchored the 5 p.m., 6 p.m., and 10 p.m. newscast and also produced and hosted Sunday Sports Extra. He later moved to his current role at the station in April 2013. Prior to joining the station, he worked at KLEW-TV in Lewiston, Idaho as a sports director from August 2008 to July 2011. During his time there, Tust was on the runway when Tony Bennett, the former coach of Washington State basketball, boarded a private jet for another job and he also did the last interview with the retired baseball coach of Lewis-Clark State, Ed Cheff. Additionally, he reported live when the Idaho Vandals won the Humanitarian Bowl.
Before that, Tust worked at Fox Sports Northwest in Bellevue, Washington as a production assistant from January 2007 to August 2008. While at the station, he reported on the Seahawks, Mariners, and the departure of the Sonics. He also worked together with top sports personalities. As Tust was growing up, he played on select teams, traveled to Japan after his senior year with Team USA, and represented Team Washington at the USA Junior Olympics.
