During her tenure at ABC 7, she has been a part of just about every major story in Chicago either anchoring from the news desk or reporting in the neighborhoods. Additionally, she reported live from the White House bringing ABC7 viewers extensive coverage. For her one-on-one interview with President Barack Obama just prior to leaving the Oval Office. While a rookie reporter in California, she was one of the youngest reporters to fly with the Blue Angels. Moreover, she covered the O.J. Simpson verdict live from the L.A. courthouse.

Judy Hsu gives birth on the expressway|baby
October 13, 2009, Hsu was on her way to the hospital around 3 a.m. to deliver her fourth child when she gave birth on the side of the Eisenhower Expressway. Her husband, Tracy, delivered the baby boy. Tracy helped Judy give birth in the front seat of the car. He said he remembered a story from ABC7 News This Morning about a woman who gave birth on the side of the road and her husband used his shoelaces to tie off the umbilical cord. Tracy did it, too, and he said it worked like a charm. Paramedics from Truck 113 arrived a few minutes after Alexander James was born.
