Additionally, she was able to increase the weekend morning show rating from 3rd to first within one year. In addition, Katy was the first reporter on the scene of a deadly medical helicopter crash. Her reporting also included a hostage situation ending with the rescue of a six-year-old girl, devastating wildfires, and severe storms. Furthermore, she has won an Emmy Award and has been nominated for several others.
