Watts works for FOX 5 DC News where she serves the station as a News Reporter. She states that sometimes life comes full circle. Previously, she served as an intern for FOX 5 News and this was when she realized she wanted to pursue a journalism career. After her internship, she went to graduate school in Los Angeles, then Yakima, Washington. This was before moving to Colorado Springs then Denver and is now happy to be back in DC working with some of the people she worked with during her internship.
Lindsay was happy to transition to a staff position in early 2017. She states that FOX 5 News has a fabulous team both in front and behind the cameras. She is always looking forward to going to work. Watts was raised in South Jersey and states that her family is still there.
Among the stories, she has focused on in the course of her career are the ones she helps people, exposes wrongdoing, and brings positive change. She was also a Trouble Shooter reporter at her station in Yakima and was part of the investigative team at her station in Colorado Springs.
Prior to joining the FOX 5 News team, she was working with Denver7 – The Denver Channel (KMGH-TV). There, she served the station as a Reporter and fill-in anchor between April 2014 and April 2016. Previously, she served KUSA-TV, 9NEWS where she was serving the station as a Freelance Reporter. There, she worked between December 2013 and March 2014.
She has also worked with KRDO-AM/FM/TV, KRDO.com, and Telemundo between December 2009 and December 2013. There, she was serving the station as a weekend morning anchor and an investigative reporter. She has also served as a Reporter at KAPP-KVEW Local News. There, she worked between November 2007 and December 2009.
This is in addition to working with News for the 21st Century where she was serving as a News Reporter. There, she worked between January 2007 and August 2007. While there, she was privileged to be awarded a fellowship after getting her master’s degree at USC. She has also worked with Annenberg TV News where she served the station as an Anchor/Reporter. There, she worked between September 2005 and May 2007.
