He is an active part of the American Meteorological Society and enjoys reaching out to society via events and school activities to increase weather awareness.
Outside of work, Matt enjoys performing and writing music and plays a variety of instruments including the guitar, piano, and trumpet. His favorite season is fall because he likes the cooler temperatures, lower humidity, and of course SEC College Football.
