She was a reporter and anchor for KVAL/KMTR in Eugene, Oregon, before coming to Denver. There she reported stories including the 2020 Olympic Trials, the WOW hall mass shooting, and the devastating Holiday Farm Fire.
She discovered the news business from some of the nation’s top journalists, interning at NBC Nightly News with Dateline NBC, NBC Los Angeles, and Lester Holt where she worked with legendary political reporter Conan Nolan. She studied abroad in Cannes, France for a semester and is fluent (ish) in French.
Chapman University is where she graduated and studied broadcast journalism and peace studies, and also was an active member of the Pi Beta Phi sorority. There young produced and reported a Murrow award-winning investigative report with a Colorado connection. “Secrets of Shambhala” led to the course’s cancellation and revealed allegations of sexual harassment on a Chapman travel course to Colorado’s Shambhala Mountain Center.
When she’s not working, she loves to try new restaurants, explore Colorado’s many mountain towns, and travel. Her most memorable story is about Resilient survivors of the 2020 Holiday Farm Fire. Many of those people lost everything they had, but their positivity and commitment to rebuilding are inspiring.
