In addition to that, Paula contributed to the network’s coverage involving Hilary Clinton’s email server, and the civil rights investigations in Ferguson and Baltimore. She also covered the prosecution of drug kingpin “El Chapo,” and the Trump administration’s travel ban. Moreover, Paula was also one of the only reporters on the ground in Charlottesville, Virginia, for the deadly white supremacist rally in August 2017.

In April 2020, she asked why Trump Administration had been so slow to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. Moreover, Reid led the CBS News coverage of the Special Counsel investigation of Robert Mueller. In 2018 she pressed Trump on his border policies. This involved pointing saying, contrary to what Trump claimed, the Trump administration’s family separation policy was different from that of previous administrations as the Trump policy prosecuted all individuals who arrived at the border. In 2017, she started filling in as a reporter at the White House. Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders stated that Donald Trump could fire Mueller if he wanted to during one of the White House press briefings.
Additionally, in 2014 Reid moved to Washington, D.C. to work reporter for CBS News and cover the Justice Department. She covered the 2016 Hillary Clinton email controversy. During the Unite the Right rally which resulted in a state of emergency being declared by Governor Terry McAuliffe. In addition to that, she was one of the few reporters on the ground in Charlottesville, Virginia. Previously she was a production secretary for CBS Evening News, a position she held for a year.
