Delkus works at WFAA-TV, the ABC affiliate in Dallas, TX serving as a Chief Meteorologist. He specializes in television and digital weather forecasting and reporting.  Pete came to the WFAA-TV weather department in June 2005 and quickly earned the respect of the North Texas people by providing timely and accurate forecasts. When there is severe weather- hail, tornadoes, or flash flooding, viewers have come to rely on his steadfast and thorough approach to his work. Since he arrived, Pete has been honored with 19 Emmy Awards for weather anchoring and special show hosting. He is board-certified by the National Weather Association and the American Meteorological Society.

Turning to his degree in Radio/Television communications, Pete accepted a job as a meteorologist for four years at WFTV, the ABC affiliate in Orlando, Florida. From 1996 to 2005, he served also as the chief meteorologist at WCPO-TV, the ABC affiliate in Cincinnati, Ohio. Pete made his mark in Cincinnati as the “severe weather leader” via his exclusive reportage of the deadly Tornado of “99. He earned many honors during this tenure including a couple of first-place Associated Press (AP) Awards for best frequently scheduled weather.

Pete is proud of his small-town, Midwest parenting and attributes his job values, ethics, and easygoing personality to it and his parents. It is there he commenced his long history as an outstanding athlete. As an All-America pitcher, he had an all-star college profession including a trip to the college World Series. After college in 1987, Delkus signed with the Minnesota Twins organization. He enjoyed a successful occupation earning a few awards including the Rolaids Relief Man and the “Minnesota Twins Minor League Player of the Year”. His occupation ended prematurely due to a serious elbow injury.

On one day off,  Pete enjoys spending his leisure time with his family. Pete is also an avid outdoorsman who loves fishing, hunting, and anything that embraces being outside – including his daily workouts and runs with his four Brittanys.
