Moore works at WFIE 14 News in Evansville, Indiana, as an evening anchor and reporter anchoring the 5 p.m., 6 p.m., and 10 p.m. newscasts. He began working at the station in January 2014. Prior to joining the station, he worked at WEHT/WTVW in Evansville, Indiana as a morning anchor from December 2011 to December 2013. Before that, Moore worked at WTVW-TV Fox 7 in Evansville, Indiana as a news anchor and managing editor from August 1980 to December 2011. He began as a general assignment reporter then in 1981, he became the weekend sports anchor. One year later, Moore was promoted to sports director. In 1990, WTVW management promoted him to evening news anchor after recognizing his journalistic mind and heart and his popularity in the market.

Moore led WTVW’s reporting of every big story for thirty years. Some of the stories include the visit of Pope John Paul II, the crash of a C-130 into a hotel and restaurant, the execution of Timothy McVeigh, a devastating tornado that tore through parts of Indiana and Kentucky killing 25 people, and the 911 terror attacks. Moore has won almost every award recognizing excellence in TV news like a national Murrow and several regional Emmys and Murrows. He also received many other awards including those from the Indiana Broadcasters Association and the Associated Press. In 2018, he was inducted into the Indiana AP Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame. In 2017, Moore entered the Evansville Ball Hall of Fame for reporting on youth sports.

He has given back to the industry by being a member of NATAS Ohio Valley and NPPA. He also occasionally teaches courses at the local universities and returns to Ball State to mentor aspiring journalists. In 2012, Moore won Ball State’s TCOM alumnus of the Year award. He and his first wife, Ann founded the Evansville chapter of Gilda’s Club, which has changed its name to Cancer Pathways Midwest. After the death of Ann, Moore finished the work they started, and currently, Cancer Pathways Midwest supports a lot of people living at every stage of cancer together with their families and friends. Moore is also a pastor in the United Methodist Church.
