In addition to that, she started serving as a chief meteorologist in March 2024 making her the first woman to serve as a chief meteorologist in easter Iowa.
Prior to working at KGAN-TV, she worked at WRUF-TV/WUFT-TV in Gainesville, Florida where she served as a forecaster from January 2013 to November 2015. On joining WRUF-TV/WUFT-TV, she started off covering sports, weather, and news station including a two hour live morning show and evening updates. Later in 2015, she started serving as the lead forecaster covering for North Florida 5 days a week.
In addition to her roles at WRUF-TV/WUFT-TV, she also provided weather forecasts for North Florida via radio (89.1 WUFT FM). Since January 2014, she has been volunteering as a community service chair at Sigma Alpha Iota. She is also the owner of the National Weather Association Seal of Approval.
