In his time at Biloxi, he covered Hurricane Isaac and the Hattiesburg EF-4 tornado which struck on the 10th of February 2013. After accepting a job at WALB in Albany, GA, he made a move to Knoxville, TV. This was before making his way home back to Atlanta.
Asides from working as an on-air meteorologist, he chased more than 30 tornadoes. This includes the tornado outbreak on the 27th of April 2011. He has also traveled to schools around North Georgia teaching students about storm chasing, what it is like to be a broadcast meteorologist, and the weather.
Beesley kick-started his career as a Meteorologist working for Wate Knoxville in Knoxville, Tennessee Area. There, he was serving the station as a Weekend Meteorologist. He worked for the station between March 2015 and March 2017.
