She met with families affected by a disastrous EF-3 tornado that ripped through the southside of Columbus in 2019. For several months, the storm’s aftermath left citizens without a place to call home. Poole traveled to Macon, MS for a rescue mission in 2022 after a severe storm left two women trapped under a collapsed building.
She also kept a close watch on what was happening in MS classrooms. Poole visited several school districts in the Golden Triangle regarding teacher shortages, technology, and COVID-19 restrictions. For small market tv, Poole was awarded Mississippi Association of Broadcasters Third Place Reporter.
