Castoreno serves as the anchor for the noon and “First at Four” newscasts at KENS 5 in San Antonio, Texas. She joined the station as a Weekend 5 PM Producer before becoming a news anchor. Audrey covers stories highlighting diversity, equity, and inclusion issues with the “Together We Rise” series. She also focuses on unique local businesses for her bi-weekly “Made in S.A.” feature.

Audrey’s job in the industry has been so good and has not gone unrecognized. As such, she has been awarded two Emmy awards for her anchoring at KENS 5. She has also reported major events, such as the migrant tragedy in June 2022, the Robb Elementary shooting in Uvalde, and numerous weather events.

While at KWES, she reported on various breaking news stories, including the 2014 Fort Hood shooting. Prior to that, she served as a reporter and Fill-in Anchor at KAVU- NewsCenter 25 for 1 yr 6 mos ( from Feb 2010 – Jul 2011). Stepping into her first newsroom at the age of 16, Audrey started learning the basics of reporting in her high school program, Dobie News.
