In addition to his roles at WINK-TV, he is also working at Florida Gulf Coast University where he has served as an instructor based in Fort Myers, Florida since August 2006.

Prior to working at WINK-TV, he worked at WYFF-TV based in Greenville, South Carolina where he served as a news anchor and Consumer/Investigative Reporter from July 1998 to June 2002. He previously worked at WMDT-TV based in Salisbury, Maryland where he served as a news anchor and news director from January 1995 to June 1998.

Since he started his journalism career, he has covered several stories and events including Hurricane Wilma, Charley, and Irma. He also enclosed the 2016 Cape Coral residential neighborhood tornado as well as the families that were having problems with insurance contractors and payments not living up to their promises. In 2015, Chris went to Cuba and covered the negotiations to open up access to the island to Americans. Since he started his journalism career, he has won several awards and honors including the 2002 Emmy for covering Dale Earnhardt’s death.
