At WHOI-TV in Peoria, IL Pitman spent almost two-and-a-half years reporting and anchoring Saturday and Sunday’s newscasts. She relocated to the Kansas City area to work at KMBC-TV. She co-anchors the “FirstNews” and her covering is seen during the KMBC 9 News at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m.His lucky to have this job because he meets new and different people every day.

Now Pitman and Tim Twyman who is a photojournalist earned a Silver Award for covering a Vietnam Veteran whose rehabilitation ended up assisting hundreds of others affected by war. They were also selected for an Emmy for the same story. Pitman is part of the Permanent Memorial Day Committee in Kansas City. They organize vets of all wars throughout the year.
