For two years prior, Doug served as a contributor on The Wall Street Journal Radio Network in New York as well as the host of “The Doug Meehan Show” on Boston’s WTKK 96.9 FM. For over six and a half years before that, he was a highly acclaimed anchor and reporter at Boston’s WFXT-TV where he served as the market’s first full-time helicopter reporter covering traffic as well as breaking news.
Before that, Doug Served as a reporter and relief anchor at Boston’s WHDH-TV. For six years before that, he served as a host and anchor of “Good Morning Texas” at WFAA-TV in Dallas, TX; a reporter at KTVT-TV also in Dallas; and anchor at KEYE-TV in Austin, TX, and WTSP-TV, Tampa, FL. Before departing New England, Doug served as a news, weather, and sports anchor in Providence, RI at WPRI-TV, and before that, he served as a reporter at New England Cable News. Doug started his news profession as an anchor and reporter at Cape 11 News in South Yarmouth, MA.
