After a brief time at WBNS in Columbus Ohio, she was offered a position at WXYZ-TV where she became the first female meteorologist in Detroit television history in July 1997.
Outside the station, Kim flatters herself on serving society. As a breast cancer survivor, she functions closely with New Day Foundation for Families which supplies financial support for cancer patients by supporting pay mortgages, buy groceries, and more so they can concentrate on healing. Kim is also a backer of Turning Point and other domestic violence shelters. She also hosts a radio program named“Fearless Faith” on 103.5 WMUZ in Detroit as well as other radio stations all over the country.
