Years thereafter, Lauren was called News Editor of the Montour Monitor, her high school newspaper, and then went ahead to study Media and Professional Communications at the University of Pittsburgh (H2P!). While at Pitt, Lauren spent a semester abroad in London with an internship at EuroNews.
After graduation, she shifted south to Wild and Wonderful West Virginia, working her way up to reporter/anchor in both the Charleston (WCHS) news markets and Clarksburg/Morgantown (WBOY). She covered the catastrophic flood of 2016 and back-to-back teacher strikes in the State Capitol. One of her most notable experiences was sitting down with the households of Sago Mine victims in the years after their tragic deaths and still keeps in touch with many of those families today. Outside of work, Lauren loves to travel, lounge at the pool with a cold beverage, try new restaurants around the city, and spend time with family.
