Her love for politics grew while in college where she was covering the state senate coup in Albany. She later decided to take a double major in Telecommunications and Political Science. Marraco spent her last semester at UF where an earthquake in Haiti happened. She later grabbed a camera and joined a group with a medical group traveling from Atlanta to Haiti. This was a first-hand definition of human compassion.
After she finished college, she tried her luck in Spanish reporting and anchoring where she joined Univision Orlando. There, she was able to sit down and interview former Florida Governor Charlie Crist and Senator Marco Rubio as they ran against each other during the primaries. While still at the station, Casey Anthony went on trial for the murder of her 2-year-old daughter.
In addition, she covered the trial gavel for Univision Network in addition to the 2012 Republican National Convention in Tampa. Just as George Zimmerman’s trial was about to get underway in Sanford. There, she took a job with the WESH-TV and covered portions of the trial. The story she will forever stick with her is a sinkhole in Seffner that literally swallowed a man when he was asleep. In addition, she was excited to have made her way up the East Coast to the Capital.
