She co-anchored “Two Bits,” a KWGN-TV kids’ news show for almost three decades. The program was seen in Utah, Nebraska, Colorado, and Wyoming.
In 2012, she moved to the Bay Area to work as the morning anchor at KPIX 5 in San Francisco where she reported parades, Super Bowls, mass shootings, and everything in between. She also hosted a locally produced talk show called Bay Area Focus. In 2014, 2016, and 2021 she got honored with an Emmy. Griego attended the Metropolitan State University of Denver and Colorado State University before starting her career at CBS News Colorado.

Sitting on the boards for the Latin American Educational Foundation and Adelante Mujer, an organization that assists Latina high school students to pursue higher education and professional careers are her volunteer work. Griego anchors together with Dominic Garcia every weekday morning starting at 4:30 a.m.

Her first breaking news story was in college when she reported n 8-year-old girl who was trying to beat a record by flying across the U.S. Unfortunately, her plane crashed in Wyoming killing everyone on board.
