Moreover, he had spent two years serving as a news anchor and reporter for WIS News-10 in Columbia, South Carolina, and WOOD-TV News 8 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Additionally, he has worked for a series of newspapers in Texas such as the Corsicana Daily Sun, near Dallas/Fort Worth, and the Burnet Bulletin, near Austin, Texas. For outstanding investigative reporting in the year 2010, Wendell was honored with the Oklahoma Broadcasters Association award. In the year 2020, the Alabama Broadcasters Association recognized Edwards with an ABBY Award for his “School Patrol” series. Additionally, Edwards has been nominated for an Emmy Award.
