Moreover, he had spent two years serving as a news anchor and reporter for WIS News-10 in Columbia, South Carolina, and WOOD-TV News 8 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

In the year 2020, the Alabama Broadcasters Association recognized Edwards with an ABBY Award for his “School Patrol” series. Additionally, Edwards has been nominated for an Emmy Award.
