He most of all saw the firsthand critical role journalists play in informing people and holding those in power accountable. It was for this reason that he decided journalism was the best for him and went back to Las Vegas.
Later on, he moved to California where an opportunity had called in. There, he was working with the KION team in Monterey-Salinas where he was an anchor/reporter. Additionally, he also worked with the KXTV located in Sacramento. It was while there that he covered COVID from the beginning. Additionally, he also covered wildfires, protests following George Floyd’s murder, and the state’s Edd crisis. These were heavy times for the community but it was also an opportunity to showcase the true strength people have when coming together.
