She began her journalism career in the state of Florida her hometown. In 2014 she decided to take a step and move to Minnesota. Catherine bought some winter coats and boots and went eager to start her career at the PBS-owned station KAWE Lakeland News where she served the station as an evening news anchor and reporter. Afterward, in 2015 she joined the KSNB NBC Nebraska team.

She then later in 2017 headed to the mountains, in Colorado Springs where she served as a lead reporter and weekend anchor for nearly five years. While there Silver covered stories across Colorado, including wildfires, the tragic mass shooting at a Boulder supermarket, and high-profile court cases.

Working in Minnesota, Nebraska, Colorado, and now back in Florida, has taught her that everyone has a story to share, and those shared moments matter to us all. Catherine is happy and excited to tell stories back in her hometown on WKMG. She clears it all that she is only looking forward to seeing the snow again on vacation.

During her free time, she loves going to the movies, listening to music, and spending time with friends. Catherine enjoys meeting new people and is always up for traveling to new places and trying new things.
