She anchored the 5, 6, 9, and 10 p.m. shows. She also had the pleasure of filling in the station’s morning show as the anchor.
Prior to WMBD, Lauren served at WTVO-TV Channel 17 in Rockford from June 2014 to October 2016 as a morning news anchor. Prior to moving to Rockford, she was a Writer, Location Scout Manager, and Casting Director for 20 West Productions in the Greater Chicago Area from June 2012 to December 2012. While in the station she was brought on to work on two TV series: Desperate Measures (Discovery Channel) and Made In Milwaukee (DIY Network).
Cervantes started her career as a PA on the ‘Good Day Chicago’ show at Fox Chicago (WFLD) in Chicago, IL. She joined Fox Chicago News in August 2010 and left in June 2012. She also served as a Field Producer, Web Producer, and Co-hosted a web segment. While in the station Lauren had the chance to learn the ins and outs of the industry while furthering her passion for broadcast journalism.
