Her mother always kept the “Today Show” on while she was getting ready for school in the morning and that is when she set her sights on broadcast journalism. Holly began her experience at WUFT-TV where she served as a reporter. She also anchored the local edition cut-ins for Cox cable, which aired in the Gainesville area on CNN Headline News.
After graduating Holly began her career at WTOC-TV in Savannah, Georgia before moving on to WSOC-TV in Charlotte, North Carolina. Since she joined FOX 35 News, she has led The News Station’s coverage of the biggest local stories including the disappearance of Caylee Anthony and the prosecution of Casey Anthony, the death of Trayvon Martin, and the trial of George Zimmerman. Bristow developed such good sources on both cases that FOX News Channel regularly called on her to enhance their coverage.
Bristow is multi-talented. She spent Orlando City Soccer Club’s inaugural MLS season serving as their official sideline reporter and she is the first to fill in anchoring FOX 35’s SportsZone. Holly also enjoys filling in on the news desk. She loves staying active and working out before work in the morning keeps her on an even keel. She enjoys cheering the Orlando Pride, the Orlando Magic, Orlando City, and the Florida Gators. While she is not working, Holly enjoys boating with family and friends and spending her time on the beach reading a good book.
