After college, Jacey was off to Clarksburg, West Virginia, and WBOY for her first educational career in television anchoring the weekend newscast. The first story she reported was the Y2K “crisis” on New Year’s Eve. After six months, she took her next career at WDBJ in Roanoke, Virginia, where she was responsible for entertainment stories and daily weather reports in Star City.
From Virginia, Birch relocated to Nashville, Tennessee, the country music capital of the world where she was in charge of anchoring the weekend weathercasts and reporting from the field. While at WZTV, she spent a week in South Carolina going through boot camp with the Marine recruits for a special series.
From WZTV, Jacey accepted a job at Local 10. She has consumed the past 15 years anchoring and reporting, as well as reporting weather, traffic, the Heat going to the Finals, and more hurricanes than she can even count. But nothing beats being home, serving at the station she grew up watching and learning from her “TV idols,” Dwight Lauderdale and Don Noe.
Jacey is a huge animal advocate and is constantly urging pet parents to “adopt, don’t shop” when it comes to saving homeless animals sitting on doggy death row. She also serves as a board member of PAWS and Zoo Miami.
She also embraces the name “tree hugger” wholeheartedly as she consumes much of her energy on efforts to save our earth, including driving her faithful Prius. An avid environmentalist, Birch serves to make a difference in preserving our planet and loves reporting stories in South Florida regarding the ocean, reefs, parks, beaches, and alternative sources of energy. Jacey spends most of her spare time on land exercising, on the water snorkeling, at home reading, saving animals no matter where she is or what she’s doing, and writing her blog whenever the mood strikes.

Like many other couples, the two commenced having some ups and downs in their relationship after three years of marriage and In April 2018 Birch filed for divorce against her husband citing domestic battery charges. She is currently living in Miami, Florida, US.
