Born and raised in Marquette, Mich., Morosi graduated with honors from Harvard University earning a degree in environmental science and public policy. While enrolling at Harvard, he played on the junior varsity baseball team for 4 seasons while reporting on the men’s hockey team for the school’s newspaper, The Harvard Crimson, for three seasons. Jon also was a hockey play-by-play broadcaster for the campus radio station, WHRB.

Morosi is part of the Essexville-Hampton Public Schools Hall of Fame in Essexville, Mich., where he oversaw the Garber Dukes to a 2-16 record over two seasons as the varsity quarterback. He was voted Executive of the Year by the Italian-American Baseball Foundation (IABF) in 2018 and acts as an Advisory Director for the National Polish-American Sports Hall of Fame.
