Mike required an outlet for his sports love, so he began an internship in the sports department at WCJB, TV-20 at the rear of his sophomore season. Mike commenced at ABC Columbia as the weekend sports reporter/ anchor, and after two years was announced as sports director in June of 2016.
Running the day-to-day production and operations of ABC Columbia’s multimedia sports platforms, Mike also regulates the station’s role of main sports anchor and host of Gamecock Saturday Night. You can also find him on the SEC Network, reporting select games for the University of South Carolina.

Mike obtained his master’s in multimedia journalism from the University of Florida and a bachelor’s degree in telecommunications, where he also spent five years as a play-by-play announcer and an anchor for the Florida Gators/IMG Sports Network.
