While there, Rochelle served as an Assignment Desk Manager, General Assignment Reporter, and finally a Fill-in Anchor.
During her assignment there, she was able to cover countless National stories including the Virginia Tech shootings, the DC Sniper case, the dog fighting trial of NFL Star Michael Vick, the Presidential election of Barack Obama, and the National Boy Scout Jamboree which gained her an Associated Press Award for Best Spot News. In Columbia, Rochelle briefly operated at a television station where she produced, reported, hosted a weekly community show, and anchored.
She is a member of the NAACP, The Columbia Chamber of Commerce, The National Association of Black Journalists, and the American Cancer Society and is the CEO and creator of the Flora Foundation. An organization she began to support young individuals get money for college after losing a parent to Cancer. She also is an avid Dallas Cowboys Supporter. In her spare time, Rochelle enjoys paying time with her family, participating in community events, attending church, and listening to live music. She is proud to be a manager of the society and looks forward to covering the stories that are going to make a contrast in the lives of South Carolinians.
