So far in his career, have covered everything from tornado outbreaks in the Southern Plains to blizzards in the Upper Midwest to hurricanes along the Carolina coast. Now Paul is excited to report the micro-climates of the Bay Area, and forecast weather right on the front lines of climate change.
Previously, he worked for stations in Raleigh, NC, Nashville, OK, TN, Tulsa, Huntington, WV, Duluth, MN, and Beaumont, TX. In 2002 he was honored with the American Meteorological Society’s seal of approval, and in 2016 he upgraded that to the AMS Certified Broadcast Meteorologist seal. He has also earned several awards for weather coverage throughout the years — six Emmy Awards, and “Best Weather Anchor” and multiple “Best Weathercast” awards from the Associated Press and Society of Professional Journalists. In 2019, Paul was titled”Weathercaster of the Year” by the Television, Radio, and Digital News Association of the Carolinas. When he is covering the weather, Paul spends his dinner break every day running or at the gym, and he also enjoys golfing, bicycling, and playing softball. He is also a dog lover.
