Kenny came to MLB Network from ESPN, where he served as host of the Brian Kenny Show on ESPN Radio, anchor of the 6 p.m. ET edition of SportsCenter, and Friday Night Fights on ESPN2. Previously, he was an ESPN anchor for Baseball Tonight, receiving a Sports Emmy Award in 2003. Kenny hosted ESPN’s coverage of the National Baseball Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony in Cooperstown, N.Y., and called play-by-play for ESPN’s Wednesday Night Baseball and the World Baseball Classic.

While at WTZA, he earned five Associated Press Awards for Journalistic Excellence and 11 New York State Broadcasters Association Awards. From 1985-86, he served as a news reporter, then sports anchor at WLIG-TV in Riverhead, New York.
