Prior to walking at Local 10, Eric spent 11 years as an award-winning sports anchor. From 2010-14, he served as the weekend sports anchor at WTHR-TV in Indianapolis. while there, he carved a niche as a storyteller, obtaining behind-the-scenes access to athletes. Eric primarily reported the Indiana Pacers and Indianapolis Colts. His task also included Big Ten Conference football and basketball, and IndyCar and NASCAR racing. While in Indianapolis, Eric reported major sporting incidents, including Super Bowls, the NBA and NFL playoffs, Final Fours, the Indianapolis 500, and many more.
From 2004-10, he worked as a sports anchor at WTVF-TV in Nashville, Tennessee, where he reported for the Nashville Predators, Tennessee Titans, and Southeastern Conference basketball and football.
Upon graduating, Yutzy commenced his career as a reporter for WKEF-TV in Dayton, Ohio. He then relocated to Atlantic City, New Jersey where he worked as a reporter and sports anchor for WMGM-TV prior to moving on to Nashville. Eric has earned numerous credits, including Emmy and Associated Press awards.
