He then moved to the First Alert Weather Forecaster role in December 2016. His duties are analyzing and producing weekend morning forecast. Later in July 2018, he began working as a Special Features Reporter where he produces weekly live and taped segments for events sponsored by the station. In March 2022, Ross became the Executive Producer of First Alert Traffic working part time in the same station. He implements and designs sponsorships, graphics, and other elements for broadcast and digital.
Prior to that, Ross worked at WOUB Public Media in Athens, Ohio as a Broadcast News Editor, Interim Assistant News Director, and Technical Operations Manager. He worked at the station from January 2013 to June 2015. While working there, he was responsible for training and developing students taking Broadcast Journalism, Meteorology, and Video Production in various TV, radio, and digital news mediums.
